OUR STANDARD SWEEPING PROCESS FOR A FIREPLACE
Our standard fireplace flue cleaning begins with our trained technicians laying out protective drop cloths and setting up a high powered vacuum so no soot will escape into your home. We then use rods and brushes to sweep the flue from bottom to top, then top to bottom. Once the flue has been properly swept, our chimney technician will brush the throat damper and firebox and vacuum any soot that has accumulated.
OUR STANDARD SWEEPING PROCESS FOR AN APPLIANCE FLUE
When servicing a furnace flue, our chimney technicians will go into the basement laying drop cloths if necessary, set up a high powered vacuum, and disconnect the pipe from the heating unit to the flue. We will then use rods and brushes to sweep the flue completely, capturing the soot with the vacuum. Our technician will reconnect the vent pipes and seal the thimble with high temperature refractory cement.
